RULES

  • Free registration
  • Register as an individual
  • Login using registered email address and password
  • Record steps daily and weight weekly
  • Account would be deactivated if no entry is made in 30 days
  • Allowed 7 days to input missing steps
  • Select 'Didn't Walk', if ill, traveling etc
  • Optionally select a walking partner (spouse, family or friend) and form a team
  • View partner's performance
  • Awarded a medal for every major milestone achieved
  • Ranking table shows the most walked individual and team based on total number of steps
  • Free to use any accurate pedometer (Accelerometer type recommended)
  • No cheating by entering false steps or doing anything other than walking, dancing, jogging or running which increases pedometer count
  • To discourage unhealthy practices a limit of 40,000 steps has been placed on the number of steps you can enter in a day. This limit would be relaxed on special weekends for those who want to beat their personal best scores
  • No minimum steps, walk at your own pace although doctors recommend a minimum of 10,000 steps a day to keep fit and stay healthy
  • This season's theme is "Discover the 50 most populous cities in the world" and would last for 12 months. It would involve a virtual visit to each of these cities
  • Season starts on the 1st of October 2014 and ends on the 30th of September 2015
